Fairer Warmth Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: 27/02/2026
This accessibility statement applies to:
-
The Fairer Warmth web application at https://app.fairerwarmth.com
-
The Fairer Warmth mobile applications on iOS and Android
The Fairer Warmth Application is run by the Centre for Energy Equality (CEE).
We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the requirements of the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This means you should be able to:
-
Navigate most of the site using a keyboard
-
Use a screen reader to access content
-
Zoom in up to 400% without losing important information
-
Change text spacing using your browser settings
-
Access video content with captions
We are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA standard.
Compliance Status:
The Fairer Warmth Application is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Following an independent accessibility assessment, a programme of remediation has been completed addressing the majority of identified issues. Most WCAG 2.1 Level A requirements and a significant proportion of Level AA requirements have now been met.
Non-Accessible Content:
The content listed below is currently not fully accessible:
-
Keyboard Navigation
-
A “skip to main content” link is not yet consistently available across all pages (WCAG 2.4.1 A).
-
Some edge cases in focus order remain when interacting with certain dropdown components at higher zoom levels (WCAG 2.4.3 A).
-
Language Attributes
-
Language attributes are not yet applied to all non-English language selection controls (WCAG 3.1.2 AA).
-
Text Resize and Reflow
-
At 200% and 400% zoom, some layout elements require further refinement to ensure no loss of content or functionality and to prevent horizontal scrolling in specific user journeys (WCAG 1.4.4 AA, 1.4.10 AA).
-
Text Spacing
-
The application does not yet fully support user-defined browser text spacing overrides in all scenarios (WCAG 1.4.12 AA).
Ongoing Improvements:
Accessibility is an ongoing priority. The remaining issues identified are being addressed through targeted front-end refinements. We expect to complete these updates as part of our continuous improvement cycle.

Preparation Of This Accessibility Statement :
This software was last tested in February 2026.
Testing was carried out by CEE following an independent accessibility assessment. We reviewed the main user journeys and key pages across the website, web application and mobile applications.
We used a sample-based approach to testing, focusing on high-use journeys including:
-
Account registration
-
The home energy assessment journey
-
Grant search
We plan to carry out a further review within the next month.
